i love piaggios bc of the story in my family about them. The 1st time i saw one i thought it was a little goofy looking and didn’t know what it was (well besides an airplane) so i called my husband (who is an aircraft mechanic and i assume a wealth of aviation information) and told him i just saw a plane that “looked like a catfish and has whiskers”. I am not sure if I have ever heard him laugh so hard. But he did know what I was talking about!!!
Strangely, this is one of the seldom planes I don’t like (together with the B1900). Not only I don’t like the design, but as an ex airport neighbor, I must say it makes a relatively strident and unpleasant noise… Sorry to have an opinion ( http://www.plasticpilot.net/blog/2007/12/08/planes-i-dont-like-pip/ )
